Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world where 80% of the population live in poverty. Hatti Trading buys in bags, shawls and other items from craft producers and women's cooperatives in Nepal, helping people to work their way out of poverty with dignity and pride. The Monkey Sanctuary has been buying goods from Hatti Trading for several years now and support the excellent work they do in Fair Trade in Nepal. Hatti Trading helps to support several charities in Nepal, one, The Esther Benjamins Trust rescues and rehabilitates children sold into circuses or forced labour in Nepal.
These beautiful bags are made from cotton, with a large main pocket and a smaller front pocket they are perfect as an evening bag or as a day-to-day purse.
