The Monkey Sanctuary Christmas cards are a beautiful mixed pack of two designs featuring pictures of some of our rescued monkeys in the festive season.
The first design features Pablo, a handsome adult male woolly monkey who has lived his whole life at the Monkey Sanctuary in Cornwall after his ancestors were rescued from lives of lonelyness and misery in the UK pet trade during the 60's, 70's and 80's. Pablo sits on the ropes of his grand enclosure the 'Trees' and surveys the rare Cornish snow that fell in the winter of 2008-2009.
The second design is of Joey, a rescued capuchin monkey in the space and freedom of his new enclosure. Joey spent nine years by himself in a tiny cage in a flat in London. For nine Christmas' he was alone with only the company of a tv and a teddy bear. Rescued from a life of misery that has left him permenantly disabled, Joey now lives happily in the rescue centre at the Monkey Sanctuary amongst other rescued capuchin monkeys. He has space and branches to climb, warm rooms in which to sleep, good food and the stimulation of company of others of his own species.
Our Christmas cards are beautiful, evocative and all proceeds go back into the work of The Monkey Sanctuary to give more monkeys, like Joey and Pablo, the chance for a better Christmas and a better life.
