This capuchin toy is designed from pictures of Frosty, one of our first rescued capuchin monkeys!
Frosty was rescued from a solitary life after being abandoned by his owner. Until he came to the Monkey Sanctuary in Cornwall, Frosty had little company or stimulation. He was being cared for by an agricultural school who helped the Monkey Sanctuary to raise funds to build the first enclosures of the capuchin rescue centre. After a few years of arriving Frosty found himself at the head of the largest capuchin group at the Sanctuary, with a group of female capuchins who adore him, and a juvenile male (Charlie Brown) also in his group, Frosty is now the alpha male of the black-capped capuchin group and is enjoying life to the fullest.
Without our supporters we would not be able to rescue monkeys like Frosty. This toy was modeled on Frosty and another rescued black-capped capuchin, Charlie.
